Boylston is home to just over 4,000 residents. Once a part of Shrewsbury, known as the North Parish, the town was incorporated in 1786 and named after Ward Nicholas Boylston, a benefactor of the town. He started a fund which raised $1,450 to build the town hall and school building. Boylston is a part of Worcester County.

Did you know… Boylston is home to John Bartholomew Gough’s Hillside Manor, located in the Morningdale section of town. Gough was a well-known English temperance lecturer during the 1800s. He is referred to as one of America’s most influential social reformers.
