Millbury, originally called the Second or North Parish of Sutton, is home to just over 13,000 residents. The town was incorporated in 1813. Millbury is a part of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, which is dedicated to the historical mill towns along the river during the American Industrial Revolution.

Did you know… John Singletary began operating a mill in 1735, dating Millbury’s industrial history to the early 18th century. Around 1753, he opened the S & D Spinning Mill. This mill is still in operation today, making it one of the oldest continuously operating mills in the country.
